This training course shows you how to systematically transform outdated applications into modern, future-proof solutions with minimal risk. In addition to the traditional refactoring techniques, we will also use with AI support and see where this takes us. You will learn proven strategies and techniques for maintaining ongoing operations while modernising the technical basis.

Using tried-and-tested methods and a structured approach, you will develop the ability to successfully plan and implement complex modernisation projects without jeopardising business.

Procedure

The training is designed to integrate as easily as possible into your daily work routine.

We start each day with a joint video conference in the morning. During the subsequent longer lunch break, you work independently on a work assignment and still have time for emails or other urgent matters. In the afternoon, there is another joint video conference.

Who should participate?

This training course is aimed at software developers and architects who are responsible for modernising existing systems. Project managers and technical decision-makers who plan or supervise modernisation projects will also benefit from the strategies and methods taught.

Are there prerequisites for participation?

Requirements include several years of experience in software development and knowledge of object-oriented programming. Experience with larger software projects and legacy systems is an advantage. No prior experience with AI tooling is required.
